CLEARPOINT Water Separators

Maximum Inline Water Separation and Removal

1 The threaded connections of the CLEARPOINT® compressed air water separators are oversized in comparison to other filters on the market. They are specially matched to the typical pipe diameters of various compressed air equipment, thus eliminating energy consuming pipe reductions. The flow optimized path to the turbine and the curved compressed air outlet are both functional benefits.

2 An innovative rectifier design guides compressed air optimally to the outlet of the water separator.

3 On entering the CLEARPOINT® separator housing, the compressed air encounters a special, internal turbine, which causes the incoming air stream to perform a particular rotary motion at high velocity. The resulting rotational forces propel condensate droplets toward the separator wall from where they flow into the collection chamber.

4 The highest possible degrees of separation are achieved here by a velocity profile that remains constant at different flow rates. Investigations based on CFD (computational fluid dynamics) have clearly demonstrated that the smoothness of the housing is paramount for a continuous velocity profile.

5 A specially designed immersion pipe prevents a transfer of particles to the upward, rotary stream of compressed air, which has largely been freed of condensate. This achieves the highest possible process reliability for all subsequent downstream devices of the compressed air system.

6 A shield developed by BEKO engineers for the collection chamber stabilzes the air stream in this section in order to effectively prevent a stirring or sweeping effect of liquid that has already been separated.
